Artistic Child Creativity - Inspirational Photography and Christian Fine Art Landscapes by Josiah Friberg
This inspirational photography image by Blue Ridge Photographic Society photographer Josiah Friberg of Moravian Falls speaks of the creativity and imagination of children when they mix art and play. Though this is not really a Christian fine art landscape, it is an inspiring portrait of a child at play with art.

Princess - Blue Ridge Photographic Society
The young lady in this image was the flower girl at a wedding I photographed. The photo was taken in natural light from the window. Her face, I feel, portrays the innocence of youth enhanced by the perfect complexion of a child. Blue Ridge Photographic Society.
Bodey - Blue Ridge Photographic Society
This is the famous Bodey Island light and light-keeper's house on the Outer Banks of coastal North Carolina. A true "lighthouse" integrates the light with the house forming a single unit. This image was originally captured on 35mm film and later converted to digital file adding digital enhancement with Adobe Photoshop CS2. Blue Ridge Photographic Society.

Cascade Waterfall - Inspirational Photography & Christian Fine Art Landscapes by Josiah Friberg
This inspirational photography & Christian fine art landscape image by Josiah Friberg was taken in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. My family and I found this Cascade Waterfall up on the Blue Ridge Parkway and we enjoyed the 1.2 mile loop hike. In Photoshop I cloned out a stone wall in the bottom right corner of the photograph.

"You created everything, and it is for Your pleasure that they exist and were created." - Revelation 4:11

This autumn photograph depicts how everything in nature rejoices in its Creator because everything was created for His good pleasure. The good news is that we get to enjoy His awesome creation as well, and I get to photograph it!

U.S.S. Constitution - Christian Landscape Inspirational Photography by Josiah Friberg
I thought this inspirational photography image of the U.S.S. Constitution, "Old Ironsides," would be appropriate for this 6th anniversary of the cowardly terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001. I was fortunate to be cruising Boston Harbor on the day that this famous historical sailing ship was out stretching her legs. By Blue Ridge Photographic Society photographer, Josiah Friberg.

Hummingbird's Feast - by Josiah Friberg, Blue Ridge Photographic Society
This version of the hibiscus flower was the one that I did not submit to the photo contest of the Blue Ridge Photographic Society. I liked it, but I thought the other one was more creative. Nonetheless, I still like this photograph and I wanted to share it here with you. The center reminds me of what a hummingbird's feast would look like. I also love the radiant life lines coming out from the center, as well as the water droplets. Copyrighted image by Josiah Friberg

My Little Flowers by Alisha Hauser, Blue Ridge Photographic Society
This was this months winner in the Blue Ridge Photographic Society monthly photo contest. It was tough competition & I was honored to have won. - Alisha Hauser
White Flower - by Pam Clark, Blue Ridge Photographic Society
I also considered this as an entry in the Blue Ridge Photographic Society contest before deciding on the Morning Glories one (see below). I like how the delicate veins of the flower show so well on this. Pam Clark

Two Morning Glories - by Pam Clark, Blue Ridge Photographic Society
These beautiful flowers bloom for me every morning on my front porch. I thought I'd share their beauty. I entered this in our monthly Blue Ridge Photographic Society contest but it did not win. It came in third.
These contests really challenge us to do our best work. Please feel free to leave your comments on what you like!
Sunshine & Rain by Castine Friberg - 2nd Place Winner Blue Ridge Photographic Society Contest
This flower photo WON SECOND PLACE in the Blue Ridge Photographic Society monthly photo contest. It got high scores for the composition, colors, patterns, details, and water droplets. Castine is a fairly new photographer, so this was quite an accomplishment to beat out much more experienced BRPS photographers. Congratulations! Comments appreciated...

Consider the Lilies - by Josiah Friberg, Blue Ridge Photographic Society
We just had our next Blue Ridge Photographic Society photo contest, and this is the losing photo that I submitted. Out of five contestants, this photo by Josiah Friberg came in 4th place :( The competition this time was very stiff and hard to beat. Alisha H. won the contest with her amazing and creative rose photo that had her 3 daughters-flowers embedded into the rose petals. Castine F. came in 2nd place with her gorgeous flower photo, followed up closely by Pam C.'s incredible and perfect photo. These winning photos will be posted soon for you to see and compare. I'm a tiny bit sad that mine got such a low score, along with John's, but Alisha's photo had all of the right elements working together to make her the clear winner this time. Congratulations Alisha! Castine and Pam both had perfect photographs which I thought were great as well.
