Sunset

I took this picture from my back porch July 8th. It was my first time I photographed a sunset and had it turn out this well.

rosebud1

It's amazing to me how much real beauty can be found in one's own back yard. This is one of my roses I happened to capture early in the unfolding of its delicate petals. The morning dewdrops add a bit of sparkle to its fragile form...enjoy.

African Violet(s?)

This is a color shot of African Violets that I processed as a B&W leaving only one of the flowers in its original color. As you can see, I celebrate individuality.

Bill's welcome

I just wanted to take the opportunity to voice a welcome to anyone viewing this web page/blog for the first time and to invite you to consider taking part in our group. I think it has the potential to be a wonderful learning experience for anyone wanting to expand their knowledge of photography in general and digital photography via Adobe Photoshop in particular. Just email any member for dates and times of upcoming meetings and we'll see you then.

Having said that, here are a few of my own efforts of late. I'll be going back in time as far as my submissions are concerned, as much of my older work has yet to be scanned to digital files.

Young Grapes After Rain

I took this a couple of summers ago and loved the picture, but now have the skills to make it stand out. The water drops on the tips of the leaves just really add to the look.
